Order of Odd Fish - James Kenney

1 book
Clean and fun
Adventure, mystery, and tons of crazy.

If the name its self doesn't give you a clue as to how this book will go, then how about this review... "It's Lemony Snicket, Lewis Carroll, Roald Dahl, and Norton Juster all rolled into one with some Monty Python sprinkled on top."
The first half was just pure crazy talk, you can't help but giggle at the insanity of it all. By the second half you have kinda caught on, and can flow with the plot. I loved the absurdity of it all, and the randomness of the characters and their 'quests'.

Poor Jo, is just a normal girl being raised by her x-Hollywood aunt, who cant remember a thing of her past. All she knows is she found Jo in a dryer with a note that said
"This is Jo. Please take care of her. But beware. This is a DANGEROUS baby." Then things start to go crazy and Jo finds out her Aunt is really a Knight in the the Order of Odd-Fish, an eclectic collection of knights devoted entirely to the research of useless information. And they aren't kidding when they say useless. They also have strict traditions that are followed with out question. Like a weeks worth of insulting before dueling. Or Dithering, they are very good at dithering. Also their butlers are giant vain cockroaches. Then Jo finds herself hiding a secret she just discovered from all her new friends, and then the action begins.

I really had a good time with this book, like a breath of crazy air, if you want something fun. This will be a good choice.

Good heavens! What a find! :D
I'll have to go troll all the libraries to see if this is available.
Thanks!
